Democracy is the worst form of government, except for all the others.

=> No other system of government has provided people with more freedom, prosperity, peace, and stability.

Democracy seems under threat around the world. The rise in nationalist and populist politics has led to the rise of new leaders with authoritarian tendencies, even in democratic countries. The fact that some politicians and leaders are constantly undermining different parts of the democratic system, in different regions of the world, is making us concern that democracy may be failing.

It may be too soon or too dramatic to talk about the failure of democracy, but it is obvious that democracy is facing a lot of challenges and will face new challenges in a disrupted world after the 4th Industrial Revolution.
