Is Democracy still the best form of government?

Which is the best system of government and decision making for today's society?

"Democracy is the worst form of Government except for all those other forms that have been tried"

Democracy has many flaws and problems but all the other decision making and governing systems showed us that they have more problems.

Nowadays, authoritarian countries such as China (or Singapore) are potentially challenging this assumption by proving that authoritarian regimes are better at creating economic growth. But with what price?

Democracy is the best form of government for there is respect for man, his dignity, rights, freedom as created in God's image. And fear of God is maintained.
